Rail & Snow

Tours are planned to the historical ‘Gold Line’ railroad in Savadkuh, Mazandaran Province on Thursday and Friday, organized by Raja Rail Transportation Company in collaboration with Parsyad Tour Company.
The railway spiral is a strange section of the Trans-Iranian Railway the construction of which started in 1927 and lasted for 11 years. The Gold Line is full of tight curves and bends running repeatedly up and down.
The tour starts at 6:30 am from the main railway station at Rah-Ahan Square in south Tehran. Visitors are required to be present at the station 45 minutes prior to departure. They are recommended to bring warm clothes; the train will pass through snowy mountains. The rail tour will stop at a few spots before arriving at Pol-Sefid in Savadkuh County which is the final destination.  There tourists will be briefed on the history of the railroad and the Gold Line. They will be back in Tehran at 10 pm. Tickets for the tour can be purchased at Tiwall.com.
