Adoption Followed by Sacrifice

The play ‘The Caucasian Chalk Circle’ by renowned German modernist playwright Bertolt Brecht is being performed at City Theater.

One of Brecht’s most celebrated works, it tells the story of Grusha, a peasant girl, who sacrifices her happiness for the sake of an abandoned child she adopts.

The performance is directed by Mahmoud-Reza Rahimi and has Anahita Khosravi, Mitra Sarollahi, Bahram Haj-Jafari, Pardis Rafei, Rosa Karimi and Nima Labkhandeh in the cast, Tiwall.com wrote.

City Theater located at the crossroads of Enqelab and Vali-e-Asr streets will host the play through January 17.
