In a painting exhibition at Sareban Gallery, there are 15 large and 11 small oil-on-canvas works by painter Ojan Shirozhan, 40.
Under the title ‘Indifference’, the solo exhibit includes portraits and figurative paintings of women with the form and technique of classical modernism, Honaronline reported.
Classic Modernism is the term applied to western art between 1900 and 1945. It embraces the diversity of seminal styles characterizing European and American art in the first half of the 20th century.
The show opened January 5 for 10 days. Featured paintings are visualized forms of a specific feeling: “an existentialistic indifference, detachment from time and place and drowning in self to decrease the burden and pain of existence,” says a statement by the organizers.
Sareban Gallery is located at No. 130, West Hoveyzeh St., North Sohrevardi Street.
