Photographer Morteza Qazi has set up an exhibition of photos in Isfahan, portraying the ‘Way of Life’ (in Persian: Rasm-e Zendegi). ‘Way of Life’ is organized under the auspices of Kowsar Cultural Center in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences, Arts and Culture in Isfahan, where Qazi studied photography, Honaronline reported. Forty photographs are on display. “The exhibition is a sort of social documentary in which the pictures focus on environmental portraits,” said director of Kowsar, Hamidreza Makaremi, about the ongoing exhibit. Environmental portrait is a genre of photography in which portraits are made in the usual environments of subjects, such as in their home or workplace. The genre typically illuminates the subject’s life and surroundings. The exhibit is underway at Tolou-e Sharq Art Gallery at Kowsar Cultural Center. It will run through January 11.
