Italian tenor, voice-actor and musicologist Marco Beasley is to perform in Tehran as part of the country’s prestigious annual music event, the 33rd Fajr International Music Festival (January 10-20). Beasley, 60, was born in Naples, southern Italy. He studied music at University of Bologna. Upon graduation he began his professional career and soon made his way to some of the most important performance venues in his country, Honaronline reported. In 2009, he was nominated for the best performance of the year by the Union of Theater and Concert Hall of the Netherlands. Saxophonist Francesco Cafiso, 28, is another Italian singer who is scheduled to perform at the annual Fajr Festival. Musical groups and bands from Turkey, Portugal, Afghanistan, France, Italy, India, Mongolia, Serbia, Austria, Senegal, Slovenia, Germany, Japan and Spain will perform at this year’s event.
