Vista Art Gallery in Tehran is to announce the winner of its second Vista Prize in a ceremony on January 11.
The prize focuses on creative ideas and innovative designs in contemporary art, and is given to the best designs submitted in forms of maquettes or video files.
The short list of the prize was announced in November of last year. The selected artworks will be put on show at the gallery for ten days, January 5-15.
Majid Tabrizi, Ashena Mostafavi, Maryam Farshad, Payam Mofidi and Emad Mardani are among the artists whose works will be on show, Honaronline reported.
The winner will receive Vista statuette as well as a cash prize of 300 million rials ($7,000).
Jury members are photographer Hamid Severi; painter and photographer Rozita Sharafjahan; gallery manager Parisa Pahlavan; filmmaker and visual artist Negar Tahsili, painter Behrang Samadzadegan; and painter, graphic designer and video artist Behnam Kamrani.
The gallery is located at No.11, 12th street, Miremad Ave.
