Set in the small village of Kulyenchikov, Ukraine, during the late 19th century, the story is about Leon Steponovich Tolchinsky, a school teacher who takes a new job educating Sophia, the daughter of Doctor Zubritsky and his wife, Lenya. Leon soon learns that there is a curse on the village that makes everyone stupid, but complications ensue when Leon falls in love with his pupil.
Directed by Mikaeil Shahrestani, the cast includes Farzan Asadian, Masoud Ashouri, Mansour Rezaei, Mohammad Tabatabaei, Arshia Razavi, Kimia Nazeri, Omid Davoudi, Elham Rezaei and Ali Keshvari among others, Tiwall.com wrote.
The play will run through January 17 at No. 1478, next to Mosaddeq Pharmacy, northwest of Vali-e-Asr and Enqelab intersection.
