In cinemas across the country is the animation ‘Kalila and Dimna’, directed by Alireza Tavakoli-Bina.
The film is based on a namesake book, which is a widely circulated collection of oriental fables of Indian origin, composed in Sanskrit possibly as early as the third century BC.
The heroes of the story are animals, a lion which plays king and his servant ox, in addition to two jackals, Kalila and Dimna, Cinematicket wrote.
Azadi, Megamall, Mellat and Arg cineplexes are some of the venues screening the animation in Tehran.
