Getting Back to History

A journey to the historical sites in Kashan City, Isfahan Province, is planned by Kalout Travel on January 4.

A bus will pick up visitors at 5 am on Fatemi Street near Laleh Hotel. After breakfast the group will head for the city of Noushabad and visit the underground city of Oui.

In Kashan the historical Tabatabai and Boroujerdi mansions as well as Sultan Amir Bathhouse will be visited.

The oldest of Kashan sites will be visited after lunch. It is the archeological site of Tepe Sialk in the southwestern suburbs and dates back to 6,000 BC.

After Sialk the tourists will arrive in the awe-inspiring Fin Garden, a charming Persian garden built in 1590. It is said to be the oldest extant garden in Iran. Within it lies the Fin Bath, where Amir Kabir (1807-1852), a Qajar chief minister, was murdered on the orders of the reigning shah.
