‘Sherlock Holmes: the Final Adventure’ a play by the American playwright Steven Dietz’s is being performed at the School of Fine Arts in Isfahan city, capital of Isfahan Province.
In 2007 a performance of the play by Arizona Theater Company won the Edgar Allan Poe Award for best mystery play produced in 2006, Honaronline reported.
The mystery thriller is adapted from William Gillette’s hit play ‘Sherlock Holmes’, as well as two stories by the British author Arthur Conan Doyle, ‘A Scandal in Bohemia’ and ‘The Final Problem’. In the story, the world’s greatest detective, Holmes, seemingly reaches the end of his remarkable career when working on a case involving the king of Bohemia, a region now encompassing western Czech Republic.
It is directed by Behzad Seifi and has Saam Kooravand, Amirhossein Khamesipour, Reza Bagheban, Reza Moeeninia, and Mona Badi’ in the cast. It is scheduled to remain on stage through January 6.
