A group painting exhibition of ‘Portraits’ will open Friday at Hepta Art Gallery in Tehran.
Curator is Masoud Feyzi who will present some of his own works. He has invited five painters and sketch artists to the event. Savalan Jama’ati, Parastou Haqqi, Reza Arabgari, Ahmad Moradi and Farhad Mofavvaz are the invitees.
‘Portraits’ will run through January 3 at the venue located at No. 3, Nikoushahr Dead-end, west of Artists Park, Iranshahr Street, Karim Khan Avenue, Mehr News Agency reported.
Each of the six artists will present their works in portrait painting. “A portrait is like an ID, reflecting the outer and the inner characteristics of an individual,” Feyzi said in a note on the event.
“For painters a human face is a mysterious object. When they try to recreate it, they also impart some of their own secrets. They in fact seek themselves in others,” Feyzi added.
