Director of the Museum of Anthropology in Serbia Mirjana Menkovic, hailed Iran’s heritage and said Serbians respect and honor Iranian tradition and culture, in a meeting with Iran’s cultural attaché in Belgrade Mahmoud Shalouei, on Monday.
Pointing to the “originality and importance of Iran’s culture and civilization,” she said Iran is “endowed with a rich, original and traditional culture.” Iran, with its ancient history, is on the path of rapid development and progress today, MNA quoted her as saying.
Menkovic expressed interest to work with the Iranian cultural attaché office in Belgrade, saying that the Museum of Anthropology, like the previous year, would host Iran’s cultural and artistic festival including Persian traditional music as well.
Shalouei, for his part, provided details of the capabilities and features of Iran’s culture and art, saying that Iran’s cooperation with the museum “could be promoted to the highest level in common areas.”
The Serbian anthropological museum has a long history and mainly hosts cultural and artistic programs. Last year in February, Iranian traditional music was played for enthusiasts and was welcomed by many Serbians, who are fond of culture and tradition.
