Arasbaran Cultural Center in Tehran is to hold a meeting to review some of the works created by visual artist, graphic designer, calligraphist and photographer Ebrahim Haqiqi.

Slated for Wednesday, the meeting will review Haqiqi’s posters and the motifs he uses in his works, according to Roozrang.com. Participants will also debate the works by master calligrapher Mirza Gholam Reza Esfehani (1830-1886) and how they led to the contemporary art of typography.

Haqiqi, 68, will address the rare gathering.  One speaker at the event is renowned calligrapher Javad Bakhtiari, 61, master of Nastaliq script, a cursive style in calligraphy with long horizontal strokes and short verticals.

The center is located on Jolfa Street, northwest of Seyed-Khandan Bridge.
