Niavaran Cultural Center will host a fusion concert on December 30 by four musicians.
Ehsan Sadiq on electric guitar, Mazyar Younesi on piano and vocal, Soheil Peyghambari on clarinet and saxophone, as well as drummer Rouzbeh Fadavi will combine genres and styles including contemporary jazz, 70’s rock, mugham, folk, ritual and classical music.
The ensemble named ‘Quartet Diminished’ has a special focus on improvisation and tends to maintain a minimal approach in compositions and performance.
Some pieces from the band’s latest album Station Two, due in spring, will be played at the concert, Tiwall.com reported.
Established by Sadiq in 2013, Quartet Diminished creates a sort of contemporary music between completely defined compositions and improvised phases.
