‘Barefoot, Bare, Heart in His Hand,’ a play written by German-based Iranian theater director and playwright Alireza Koushk-Jalali, 59, and directed by Yasser Attar will be staged at Tehran’s Baran Theater in Turkic language from Saturday.

On stage for a month, the work is about a Turkish-German migrant whose family members are killed in an arson attack by a racist group. His role is played by Hojjat Moqaddam.

According to a press release by the public relations office of Baran Theater, Attar has translated the play into Turkic in collaboration with theater practitioner Zahra Feyzipour.

The performance is organized jointly by the Katibeh Theater Company and Yunus Emre Institute in Tehran. The latter is a non-profit Turkish cultural organization with 43 branches across the globe and was established to promote Turkish language and culture.

Baran Theater is located on South Felestin (Palestine) Street, Enqelab Avenue.
