Singer Fat’halian in Lead Role in Theater

Guitarist and pop singer Farman Fat’halian will appear on theater stage in ‘Stroll With Horse,’ a play about a guerrilla couple in 1975 in Iran.

Written and directed by script writer, film and theater director Masoud Shahmohammadi, the play will open December 27 at Shahrzad Theater in Tehran, Honaronline reported.

In September and October of 2016, the play was staged at Arghanoun Theater with Ali Askari and Parya Vaziri in the cast. This time, Fat’halian, 46, will step on stage with actress Niki Mozaffari, 30, playing the other lead role.

Stroll With Horse is a suspense story of a man and a woman whose fellow guerrillas hold them blindfolded in a house. They are convicted of treason against the nation and dishonorable behavior in expressing their affection.

The drama will run for a month at the venue located at the intersection of Neauphle-le-Chateau and Razi streets. “The play successfully narrates some life concerns and conveys to the audience the message that what has emerged victorious is love,” novelist Mahmoud Dowlatabadi, 76, commented on the work after he watched a previous run of the show.
