Christopher Nolan’s latest film ‘Dunkirk’ is to be screened at Qolhak Cineplex on December 20-21, the venue’s website wrote.
The thriller/drama is a true story about a military operation that took place during the Second World War in the coastal city of Dunkirk, France.
In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, the troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this rescue mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were moved to safety.
The cast includes Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Barry Keoghan, Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy.
