A tour of the historical rail spiral of ‘Gold Line’ in Savadkuh, Mazandaran Province, is organized for December 21 by Raja Rail Transportation Company, in collaboration with Parsyad Tour Company.
The spiral of Gold Line is a strange section of the Trans-Iranian Railway which started in 1927 and completed in 1938. Gold Line ascends and descends in a short distance by passing three times in the same area at different heights.
The tour starts at 6:30 am from the main railway station at Rah-Ahan Square in south Tehran. The train will stop at a few spots before arriving at Pol-Sefid in Savadkuh County, the final destination. Tourists will be briefed on the history of the railroad and its special section known as Gold Line. They will be back in Tehran at about 9:40 pm. Tickets for the tour can be purchased at Tiwall.com.
