Zhiwaar Travel Institute has a special program for the annual Yalda festivity, the Persian solstice.  The nocturnal celebration will be observed this week from the night of December 21, the longest night of the year, into the early hours of December 22. Those interested can join the Yalda tour and start the celebration with a walk in the iconic Lalezar Street in south Tehran.

Visitors will stroll in the street and listen to stories about its evolution. The famous street was once a cultural hub of the capital and home to numerous cinemas and theaters.

The tour starts at 7:15 pm from near Baab-Homayoun entrance of Imam Khomeini Subway Station. After the walk in Lalezar, the short tour will wrap up around 10pm at the nostalgic Orient Café Confectionary in Darvazeh Dolat neighborhood. Ending time is 10 pm.
