Contest for Bologna Book Fair

The Cultural and Artistic Society of Iranian Illustrators in cooperation with the Iranian Association of Writers for Children and Youth, and the Elmi-Farhangi Publishing Company has launched a contest whereby two-member teams, comprising a writer and an illustrator, will compose a book for children, MNA reported.
Contestants will prepare the work after attending four sessions of a workshop to be held next month from January 1-6. The selected work will be published by Elmifarhangi, (scientific and cultural) publisher, and presented to the Bologna International Children’s Book Fair, 2015.
The Bologna fair is the most important international event in the field of children’s publishing and multimedia industry. Since 1963, it is held annually for four days in March or April in Bologna, Italy.
It is the meeting place for all professionals involved with creating and publishing children’s books, and is mainly used for the buying and selling of copyrights both for translations and for derived products like movies or animated series.
