International Lullabies, Folk Songs at Niavaran

Diane Ensemble conducted by Siavash Lotfi is rehearsing to stage a concert titled ‘International Lullabies’ at Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran on December 25.  The vocal ensemble comprises a choir of eight woman soprano and alto singers and a pianist who will perform a repertoire of lullabies from several nations as well as folk songs from assorted ethnicities of the world, Honaronline reported. Lotfi has collected the musical pieces from Iran and Azerbaijan as well as countries in Latin America and Europe. He has rearranged them for the event. The singers include Samira Dilmaqani, Maryam Movaffaghi, Golnaz Navidan and Samira Mohseni (alto) as well as Yekta Etemadi, Pegah Eynakchi, Nasim Shojaei and Sara Mohseni-Ardehali (soprano). Pedram Afshari accompanies the choir on the piano. The venue is located at Farhangsara St., across from Niavaran Park, on Pasdaran St.
