Steven Spielberg’s fantasy/adventure film ‘The BFG’ (2016) is to have one screening at Qolhak Cineplex -- one of the few venues which show foreign movies in the capital, on December 11 at 7:30 pm, the venues website wrote.

The BFG (standing for Big Friendly Giant) is based on the 1982 novel by the same name by British novelist Roald Dahl. It tells the story of an orphaned little girl who befriends a benevolent giant. The giant takes her to Giant Country, where they seek to stop man-eating giants that are invading the human world.

Film stars include Mark Rylance, Ruby Barnhill, Penelope Wilton, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall and Bill Hader.

The cinema is at Yakhchal St., Shariati Ave.
