Some famous houses in Tehran owned by famous figures of art and culture are on the itinerary of a program organized by Sarzamin-Sabz tour operating institute in Tehran on December 7.

In the first part of the tour, visits are limited to the outside of the houses. Starting at 8:30 am near the subway station of 7-Tir Square, visitors will crisscross the city to visit the houses of literary figures such as poet and journalist Ahmad Shamlou (1925-2000); scholar, fiction writer, literary researcher and poet Saeed Nafisi (1895-1966); and poet, scholar, historian and journalist Mohammad-Taqi Bahar (1886-1951).

Visiting the Tehran residence of late poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri (1928-1980); the paternal house of novelist, short story writer and translator Jalal Al-Ahmad (1923-1969); and the famous house of writer and translator Sadeq Hedayat (1903-1951), are also in the program.

But more intimate visits are planned after lunch. Visitors will see the interior of the houses that once belonged to the scholar of Persian literature and Iranian studies Mohammad Moin (1914-1971) and poet, lyricist and journalist Mohammad-Ali Amir-Jahed (1896-1977). They will also take a walk inside the paternal house of accomplished nuclear physicist Mahmoud Hesabi (1903-1992). Tickets are available at Tiwall.com.
