Silkscreen Prints

A silkscreen exhibition by painter and print artist Mehdi Hosseini is underway at Hoor Art Gallery
The exhibit shows a series of handmade silkscreen prints with flat colors, mostly blue. The works have been created in the past 15 years, according to Tandis magazine of visual art (tandismag.com).
Being a print artist whose works are reproduced in limited editions, Hosseini has reflected for a long time on ‘The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction’ a seminal book written in 1936 by German philosopher and cultural critic Walter Benjamin (1892-1940). The current exhibit is the outcome of his reflections.
The exhibit will run until December 15. Visiting hours are 3 to 8 pm. Hoor Gallery is located at No. 12, Naeemi Alley, Mirza Shirazi St., north of Motahari Street.
