The classical vocalist and tonbak player Homayoun Shajarian will sing at the Simorgh  Concert in Paris on January 13-14.

The concert will coincide with the 1st Farsi Speakers in Europe Art Festival, slated for January 13-20. Those interested to attend the concert can place reserve their tickets at , Honaronline reports.

The international festival’s mission is to introduce and promote Persian culture and art across continents. It covers a wide range of Persian artistic and cultural programs including music, literature, photography, visual arts and stand-up comedy.

Shajarian has given excellent performances in different parts of the world including the US, the UK and the Netherlands.

The 42 year old Homayoun is the son of Mohammad Reza Shajarian, one of the most respected traditional singers in Iran.

Homayoun started accompanying his father in concerts in Iran, Europe and the US as a vocalist in 1999. His albums are among the bestsellers in Iran’s music industry.
