A brief visit to Damghan, one of the oldest cities in Iran, as well as the nearby deserts and steppes is planned by Arand Tour.
The one-day tour is slated for November 30. It starts at 4:30 am at Argentina Square in north Tehran and returns in the evening.
The program has two phases: an eco-tour of Damghan Desert southeast of the city, and sightseeing in the city. Visits to salt polygons, salt lake and sand dunes are in the first part.
Once in the city, the group will see Tarikhaneh Masjid (mosque), the shrine of Pir-Alamdar and the Chehel-Dokhtar (40 Girls) Tower. They will also take a walk through the traditional bazaar where they may find souvenirs.
