Extreme Envy

A free adaptation of Sadeq Hedayat’s short story ‘Abji Khanoum’ (literary meaning elder sister) is to go on the stage of City Theater, located at the intersection of Enqelab and Vali-e-Asr streets from Thursday.  It is the story of a young girl deprived of the natural beauty and charm in her sister. Her ugliness in contrast with her sister’s glamour gives way to development of a deep sorrow and jealousy that pushes her towards suicide.
Minoo Maleki, Nasim Taji, Mehrnoush Balmeh, Darioush Faezi perform the play under Mehdi Shah-Piri’s direction, Tiwall.com wrote.
The venue will host the performance through December 15.
