‘Isfahan, City of Polish Children’, is the title of a play that will go on stage at City Theater on November 27 for six nights.

In 1942, a group of Polish refugees, mostly children and women, released from scattered camps in and around the former Soviet Union, came to Iran after making the perilous journey mostly by boat through the Caspian Sea. The play is about the children, about 2500 mostly orphans, who were given refuge in Isfahan Province in central Iran.

The project which is a co-production of Poland and Iran, is written by Iranian playwright Mohammad Charmshir and managed by the Pole Agata Mazurkiewicz, Tiwall.com reported.

Sepandar Akbari A’lam, Diba Pishdadi, Sayeh Parsaei, Delshad Jalili, Erphan Rahbari and Roumina and Roujina Qaseminejad are in the cast.

The venue is located at the intersection of Enqelab and Vali-e-Asr Intersection.
