Three Chile Awards for ‘Abscess’

The social drama ‘Abscess’ directed by filmmakers Armin Tahmasbi and Ali Bateni, received three awards at Chile’s first edition of South Film & Arts Academy Festival (SFAAF), November 15-17, in Santiago. Abscess is about a young couple whose lives are deeply affected by addiction and drug abuse. Each new day in their troubled life gets darker until they decide to find a way out of their predicament. At the Chilean festival, ‘Abscess’ won the awards for ‘Best Experimental Feature’ and ‘Best Original Score in a Feature Film,’ ILNA reported.  The festival also commended Sousan Azizollahi with an ‘Honorable Mention for Lead Actress in a Feature Film’. Other cast members include Ali Ardalan, Asef Rasouli, Tina Mousavi, Roya Qanbari, Raouf Rezai, Rasoul Mohammadi, Sepanta Sokouti, Amin Mohseni, Alireza Ahmadi, Saeed Jafari, Majid Ahmadi and Arman Tahmasbi.
