Charity Concert at Vahdat Hall

Traditional singer, composer and musician Vahid Taj will hold a concert with the Mehrabani (kindness) ensemble at Tehran’s Vahdat hall, December 17, to raise funds for the earthquake victims in Kermanshah Province.
An earthquake jolted the western region last week and killed at least 437 people, injured over 10,000 and left thousands homeless. An estimated 30,000 houses were fully or partially damaged.
Taj, 34, learned classical singing from Mohammad Reza Shajarian, master of Persian traditional music, ISNA reported.
Prominent singer Shahram Nazeri, accompanied by Kamkars ensemble and the Arshavir Kurdish music band have already held charity programs for the quake-stricken people.
