Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, is hosting the Iran Cultural Week November 20-24. The event is organized under the auspices of Iranian Embassy in the South American state and the University of the Republic, both in Montevideo, IRNA reported. A traditional Iranian music performance, lectures and debates on ancient Iranian art, a review on the life and work of Persian poet Ferdowsi (935-1020), a meeting on Iranian cinema, anthropological discussions and an analysis of Persian carpets and their designs are among the programs.
