Fard-Qaderi’s Immortality Best Film at Buffalo Festival

Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival in the US granted the award for the Best Film to ‘Immortality’ directed by Iranian filmmaker Mehdi Fard-Qaderi.

The movie which is a portrait of six families on different cars of a train at a rainy night and offers some insight into the lives of Iranians. The film was made in a single shot without edits, Cinema Daily reported.

The 145-minute film had its international premiere in Rome Film Festival, Italy, last year. It has so far been presented in several other global events including Munich and Transylvania international film festivals.

The cast includes Anna Nemati, Maral Farjad, Atabak Naderi and Sana Norouzbeigi.

Buffalo Dreams celebrates the best independent films from around the world. This year’s edition was held November 2-12 in New York.
