Peace Dream

Peace Dream Peace Dream

An adaptation of the play ‘A Separate Peace’ written by Czech-born British playwright Tom Stoppard is on stage at City Theater under Sohrab Salami’s direction.

Rewritten by Mohammad Charmshir, the play is titled ‘The Scent of a Dream’, and is about John Brown who goes to a country nursing home in search of peace and comfort.

He apparently is neither physically nor mentally challenged and settles into the routine and cocoon-like security. Maggie, his favorite nurse, learns enough about him to locate his relatives who come for him.

Shohreh Soltani, Masoud Delkhah and Qasem Zare are among the cast.

The theater at the crossroad of Vali-e-Asr and Enqelab Streets will run the play until December 28.
