Ebn-e-Sina Cultural House in Tehran is hosting a collection of artworks created by students of the master of wooden sculpture, Jamshid Moradian.

Thirty pieces are on show most of which are carved from wood and the rest from fiberglass, Honaronline reported.

Moradian, 68, is a member of the Sculptors Association of Iran. His other skills are in philosophy and history of art, comparative philosophy of East and West, world literature and mythology.

He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions both in and out of Iran. In 2015, he transformed five withered walnut trees into works of art in Karaj, the capital city of Alborz Province, for a project commissioned by the local municipality aimed at the city’s beautification.  

Reza Mikaeelzadeh, Mehrnaz Azar-Houshang, Shahrzad Baghche-Saraie, Tina Banaei, Mohammad-Rasoul Beig, Hanieh Chitsazi and Zohreh Abdi are some of the students whose works are on display at the undergoing exhibit.
