The first group exhibition of posters designed on stories of ‘Shahnameh’ (the book of Kings) is to be inaugurated on November 11. On display will be posters by designers Morteza Momayez, Qobad Shiva, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Kourosh Parsa-Nejad, Bijan Jenab, Bijan Safavi, Meysam Namdar, Hassan Fouzi-Tehrani and Hamidreza Vassaf, ISNA reported. Shahnameh, written by celebrated Persian poet Ferdowsi (940-1020) is the world’s longest epic poetry by a single poet. Composed of nearly 60,000 verses, it is mainly about the mythical, and to some extent, historical past of the Persian Empire from the creation of the world until the Islamic conquest of Persia in the 7th century. Iranshahr Café Gallery, located at Iranshahr St., Karimkhan Ave. will host the show through November 24.
