The Iranian play ‘Waiting for Adolf’ is an adaptation of the play ‘What’s in a Name?’ by French playwrights Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière that will  go on stage at Iranshahr Theater on November 12.

What’s in a Name? was adapted by its writers into a comedy film in 2012 and became a box office success in France, selling 3.3 million tickets.

Hossein Omidi, Ashkan Khatibi, Anahita Dargahi, Ava Sharifi and Reza Molaie perform the play under Alireza Koushk Jalali’s direction, Tiwall.com wrote.

‘Waiting for Adolf’ tells the story of Vincent, a real estate agent and father-to-be who is invited to dinner by his sister Elisabeth and brother-in-law Pierre. When Vincent says he intends to have his son baptized as ‘Adolf’, his hosts object. The situation eventually gets out of hand.

It will be performed until December 1 at the theater located next to Iranian Artists Forum, Art Garden, N. Mousavi St., Taleqani Ave.
