Veteran illustrator Akbar Nikanpour, 61, has presented a collection of his paintings at Saless Gallery in Tehran.
Titled ‘Brightness of River’, the exhibit features a series of paintings that have also illustrative attributes. Having illustrated children’s books for decades, Nikanpour has a simple and friendly expression in his works.
The exhibition will run through Nov. 1, between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m., and on Friday from 4-10 p.m., according to Tandis online magazine of visual art.
In a note on the exhibit, Nikanpour wrote: “Truth is like an ocean. Brightness runs through the fluid river of body and soul. The presented collection is my visualization of beauty. It is the dream of a river running through the heart of a city where people cherish the water.”
The venue is located at No. 148, Karim Khan Ave., between Iranshahr and Mahshahr streets.
