43 Countries at Tehran Short Film Festival

The 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) will host directors from 43 countries to screen 110 movies from October 17-22 at Mellat Cinema Complex in Tehran. According to the public relation office of the festival, the TISFF is scheduled to screen 110 short films in three categories, namely experimental, documentary and fiction films. Participating directors are from 43 countries including France, Russia, the Netherlands, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Georgia, Belgium, Poland, Canada, Spain, South Korea, Brazil, China, Germany, the US, Italy, Taiwan, Argentina and India. Jury members from Lebanon, Poland, Hong Kong, Slovenia and Iran will judge the films at the international category in three sections of Asia, religion and video art. In separate sections, the TISFF will pay tribute to late Iranian filmmaker Vahid Nasirian and veteran Iranian filmmakers including Naser Gholamrezaei, Ebrahim Saeidi and Dariush Gharibzadeh.  Specialized cinema workshops and a section regarding books and cinema are also on the itinerary.
