Photographer Barzin Baharloui will hold an exhibition of photo-collage works at Atbin Art Gallery in Tehran. Titled ‘New Wonder’ (in Persian: Heyrani-e-No), the solo exhibit will open on October 20 and run through the end of the month. Visiting hours are 4 to 9 pm.

A series of photo-collages fusing together Iranian architecture and renaissance paintings from the West will be shown.

“For me, the combination of Iranian architectural forms and renaissance art is the culmination of beauty,” Honaronline quoted Baharloui as saying.

“I’ve made 30 such works of which 15 will be displayed at the exhibit,” he said. Qeysarieh Bazaar in Isfahan is among the places Baharloui visited to take photos of ceilings, muqarnas vaults and arabesque forms.

The collages have been created in the past four years. The gallery is located at No. 42, Khakzad Alley, Vali-e-Asr Avenue, south of Parkway Crossroad.
