Photographer Borna Mirahmadian received the best photo award at a photo exhibit held in Athens, Greece. The photo event was held as part of a cultural exchange program between the two countries by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), ILNA reported. It includes two exhibitions. The first one is underway in Athens and the second is planned for next year in Tehran.  Both events are organized by ‘Focus Photo Club’ and ‘Hellenic Photographic Society,’ two representatives of FIAP in Iran and Greece respectively. Miarahmadian’s photo and a selection of other participating works by Iranian photographers are now up for display at a photo exhibition titled ‘Iran, Ancient Civilization’ at the Hellenic Photographic Society in Athens. The exhibit will run through mid-October. From among the works, Hellenic Photographic Society selected Marahmadian’s as the best photo of the exhibit. He was awarded the gold medal of the society and also a free ticket to Greece.  Photos on display are by Nima Tajodin, Amin Dehqan, Maryam Monavarian, Ali-Reza Rahimi, Ahmad Samei and Amin Zamzam among others. A similar exhibition ‘Hellas, Ancient Civilization,’ is planned by the two FIAP representatives to be held in Tehran in 2018. At the exhibit, Greek photographers will present their works introducing the ancient cultural heritage of their land.
