Philosopher and researcher in art, author, graphic designer, photographer and expert in restoration of artworks Javid Ramezani, 53, has curated an ontological exhibition in collaboration with 16 artists.

‘Density’ is the 6th exhibit of the ‘Me’ series which started 6 years ago. ‘Me’ exhibits are a number of events based on personal interpretations of being, dealing with social issues such as consumer culture, meaning of life and the connection between human beings  and the world.

Density at Gallery Chahar in Tehran, examines the hectic pace of social life today, Honaronline reported.

Works on display are from a variety of mediums: photos, installation arts, paintings, sketch art and sculptures.

“When social life gains too much pace, friction develops between people and living standards collapse … Artists are (also) responsible to focus on social issues and reflect them in their works,” Ramezani said.

The approach in the current exhibit is theoretical and educational, he added. “We’ve tried to present an exhibition reflecting our place and time.”

Participating artist are Sahar Eftekharzadeh, Sara Hosseini, Amir Koushamanesh, Sara Baftizadeh, Mani Kumar, Zeynab Saqafi, Ali Yahyai, Ali Nourpur, Maryam Safarzadeh, Niloufar Taqipur, Mehdi Nemati, Hamed Nourai, Dina Saniee, Haniyeh Darbandi, Masoud Jazani and Mohaddeseh Shadmehr.

‘Density’ will run through October 16 all days except Saturdays. Visiting hours are 11 am to 8 pm. Gallery Chahar is located at No.4, Eshraqi Street, Shariati Street, south of Seyed Khandan Bridge.
