One of Iran’s animated series ‘Cou Cou & Bou Bou’ is to be internationally premiered at the 1st Palm Springs International Animation Festival, slated for November 9-11.
The animation, directed by Rasoul Hosseini, is about two friends who go to the same school. It seeks to target elementary school students as its main audience and educate them on traffic safety culture in 52 episodes, Mehr news Agency reported.
Based in California, the festival will include more than 250 short and 6 feature-length animated films and series from over 103 countries.
“Animation is a powerful form of art with the ability to educate, inform and inspire a new world of storytelling. Our goal and passion is to celebrate amazing animated films, the talented artists and their teams from around the world.” Brian Neil Hoff, the festival director wrote on the event’s website.
