The first classical guitar orchestra in Iran will perform for the public on December 28 - 29 at the Roudaki Amphitheater in Vahdat Hall.
Founded in 2011 and directed by Farzad Daneshmand, the group comprises 21 of the best guitarists in the country; the number will increase to 60 in the near future, IRNA reported.
The group is called ‘Zaman’ and is the first orchestra of Iranian guitarists skilled in the use of a wide range of guitars for a vast spectrum of symphonic pieces.
