Iranian stand-up comedian Hasan Reyvandi will hold two shows in England in December. He will perform in two cities of London and Manchester on December 17 and 18 respectively.

According to Reyvandi’s public relations manager, he has had many shows in several Iranian cities as well as in foreign countries including the Netherlands and Germany. His recent shows in Australia (in May) were the biggest and most successful.

Reyvandi, 41, has developed the laughing shows in Iran. In his performances he impersonates celebrities, tells jokes and approaches social topics in a humorous manner to have an impact on the audience, making them reflect upon their negative behavioral points.

Using satire he tries to express dishonesty and deviousness in a critical way and without distortion. Most of his performances are based on improvisation and almost all of the humorous contents are created impromptu. Improvisation plays an effective role in making the performance more credible.

Another interesting part of his work is his imitation of Iranian pop and traditional singers. He developed voice imitation talent from childhood. One of the students of the late Iranian pop and folk singer Mohammad Nouri, he learned solfège under his supervision.
