Still Life by Zamani

Painter Sourena Zamani, 27, has put his oil-on-canvas works on display at Mohsen Art Gallery.
The ‘Still Life: Act/Transparency,’ his solo exhibit, opened September 22 and will run through October 11.
The statement of the exhibit begins with a quote from French painter Edgar Degas (1834-1917): “A painting requires a little mystery, some vagueness, and some fantasy. When you always make your meaning perfectly plain you end up boring people.”
Paintings on display are Zamani’s recent works depicting everyday objects, toys and other subjects arranged in a symbolic narrative.
The gallery is located at No.42, East Mina Blvd., Zafar neighborhood in north Tehran.
