Tehran Short Film Festival Picks 27 Documentaries

The jury of the documentary section of the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival has selected 27 short documentaries from among 264 entries to compete in the national section of the event.

The jury comprises of five Iranians, namely author and filmmaker Homayoun Emami, writer and director Hassan Naghashi and documentarians Soudabeh Mojaveri, Hadi Afarideh and Mohsen Ramezanzadeh, the festival website wrote.

‘The Iron Dream’ directed by Yaser Talebi, ‘The Folks of Oat Land’ by Nourollah Fatahi, ‘To Be a Father’ by Morteza Jazab, ‘I Stay’ by Fatemeh Marzban, and ‘Where Are We Going?’ by Reza Majlesi are among the selected documentaries.

The event includes national competition, international competition and out of competition sections.

It is organized by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), a member of International Short Film Conference, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

This year’s festival will run from October 17-22 in Tehran.
