Academic Publishers to Attend Frankfurt Book Fair

Iranian academic publishers are to hold a meeting with the president of the International Publishers Association (IPA) Michiel Kolman and Nasser Kanani, an Iranian author and translator, based in Germany, on October 12 at the Iran National Pavilion at Frankfurt Book Fair slated for October 11-15.

Frankfurt Book Fair is a meeting place for the industry’s experts and the most important marketplace for books, media, rights and licenses worldwide. Publishers, booksellers, agents, film producers and authors from across the globe come together in October discuss issues of mutual interest. On the last day of the fair, exhibitors are allowed to sell their books at retail price, the fair website wrote.

“The aim of the meeting (with Kolman) is to draw on the experience of international publishers and introduce Iranian publishers to their foreign peers to help strengthen and expand interaction,” IRNA quoted Maryam Ronagh, one of the Iranian publishers due to attend the meeting.  Peydayesh Publishing House, POL Literary & Translation Agency and Nahl Publications are the three Iranian exhibitors who will display their books at the annual German event.
