Performance of over 200 street plays produced by Revayat-e-Fat’h troupe on the occasion of Sacred Defense Commemoration Week (commemoration of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, September 22-29) started in Tehran and 13 other provinces on Tuesday.
Amir Nasir Beigi, manager of the troupe, said the plays will be performed in three venues in Tehran and 100 spots in the provinces of Isfahan, East Azarbaijan, Ilam, Bushehr, Khorasan Razavi, Khuzestan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Gilan, Sistan-Baluchestan, Lorestan, and Markazi.
“In Tehran, Imam Hussein Square, the outdoor area of Tehran City Theatre and Valiasr Plaza will host the events,” he said, ILNA reported.
Nasir Beigi expressed hope that the performance of outdoor plays will not be restricted to special occasions and will be staged throughout the year and on more diverse themes.
