Twenty one years after the first screening of Dariush Mehrjui’s celebrated film ‘Leila’ in 1996, three cinemas in Tehran are showing it again. Leila and Reza are content with their recent marriage. However, Leila learns that she is unable to conceive. That is when Reza’s authoritative mother starts wheedling Leila to persuade Reza into a second marriage for the sake of having a grandchild. Leila accepts at first but is unaware of her own strains. The cast includes Leila Hatami, Ali Mosaffa, Jamileh Sheikhi, Touran Mehrzad, Amir Payvar, Shaqayeq Farahani and Mohammadreza Sharifinia, cinematicket.org reported. The film is on the screens at Kourosh Cineplex, Farhang Cinema and Cinema Museum.
