Iranian-Canadian jewelry artist, ornament designer and painter Nazanin Alainia is showcasing her paintings at e1 Art Gallery in Tehran.

Titled ‘Revenant,’ the exhibition features 12 figurative and minimalistic paintings about contemporary humans and their way of dealing with despair.

The exhibition opened September 15 and will run through September 29. Visiting hours are 4 to 8 pm, Honaronline reported.

As a statement to the exhibit, Alainia quotes a poem by author, translator and poet Giti Khoshdel: “Read hope in my eyes, see it in my body. I choose light. I return to light.”

The art gallery is located at No. 1, Hamid Alley, Lesani Street, Elahieh neighborhood.  The gallery will donate its share of returns to charity.
